the qpid-cpp package in Unbuntu 12 LTS and higher are quite out dated and need to be upgraded to at least 0.26

Asked by Jan Rinze

Current available release package in Ubuntu 12 and higher for qpid-cpp is very old. The version available by Apache is now 0.26 but the version in Ubuntu 12 LTS is 0.14. There is a great amount of bugfixes for this package which are included in 0.26.

It seems the common practice for qpid users on Ubuntu and Debian is to build from sources a.t.m. but for installing on multiple machines (>20) a package is much more sensible and will improve the ease of maintenance.

Hope this will be included in the (near) future.

Best regards,

Jan Rinze.
