Well, qcad is shipped both in community edition with gpl license and in closed source trial; if you intend to use the closed source trial version, visit the vendor's website; if you intend to use (or at least try) the open source version, well, easy peasy, all you have to do is follow this simple guide:

https://help.ubuntu.com/9.04/add-applications/C/installing.html

and install the package "qcad".

You can go to the applications menu, select "Add/Remove", select "Graphics", look for "QCaD" and select it, then press the "Install" button.

You can also type this in a terminal:

sudo apt-get install qcad

from which site should i download qcad package? i have no idea.
because i see a lot of mirror sites for it.

i checked my applications menu, i could find that there is a listing for qcad, but it states that, my vendor is not support the package........i have a pc with AMD athalon 64 bit processor (i386) + nvidia gforce graphics card separately for my designing software..........what to do next?

Could you open a terminal (menu Application -> Accessories) and digit "sudo apt-get install qcad" (without quotes, and you'll have to digit your password)?

If this doesn't install qcad, tell us the output of the command. Bye
