Well, qcad is shipped both in community edition with gpl license and in closed source trial; if you intend to use the closed source trial version, visit the vendor's website; if you intend to use (or at least try) the open source version, well, easy peasy, all you have to do is follow this simple guide:

https://help.ubuntu.com/9.04/add-applications/C/installing.html

and install the package "qcad".

You can go to the applications menu, select "Add/Remove", select "Graphics", look for "QCaD" and select it, then press the "Install" button.

You can also type this in a terminal:

sudo apt-get install qcad

from which site should i download qcad package? i have no idea.
because i see a lot of mirror sites for it.

i checked my applications menu, i could find that there is a listing for qcad, but it states that, my vendor is not support the package........i have a pc with AMD athalon 64 bit processor (i386) + nvidia gforce graphics card separately for my designing software..........what to do next?

Could you open a terminal (menu Application -> Accessories) and digit "sudo apt-get install qcad" (without quotes, and you'll have to digit your password)?

If this doesn't install qcad, tell us the output of the command. Bye

Can you help with this problem?
