Install "ffmulticonverter_1.8.0-dmo1-1ubuntu1_all.deb" Bionic after installed FFMPEG compiled From source with libfdk-aac

Asked by Cyberbob

Dear Sirs
libfdk-aac is NOT installed in the standard Repo of Ubuntu/Mint19 with FFMPEG package!

So I Installed FFmpeg from source with this guide:
https://linuxconfig.org/install-ffmpeg-on-ubuntu-18-04-bionic-beaver-linux

Then ffmpeg is installed in /home/bin!!!!!!!!

The problem is that if I try to install "ffmulticonverter_1.8.0-dmo1-1ubuntu1_all.deb" , the installer say that FFMPEG is required, and It will install it !! BUT FFMPEG is already installed and WORKS!!

linux@Mint19:~$ whereis ffmpeg
ffmpeg: /home/linux/bin/ffmpeg
linux@Mint19:~$

How Can I solve this issue???
DOES EXIST an external PPA for Bionic/Mint19 with libfdk-aac already installed of FFMPEG?

This is the support are for Ubuntu, and not for other operating systems "based on Ubuntu".

If you are running Linux Mint, then please ask at the support channels for Linux Mint https://linuxmint.com/contactus.php

For Ubuntu there is a libfdk-aac1 package provided in the standard repositories, see https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fdk-aac

Thanks Sir,
but this will not work, bacause FFMPEG is not able to use external application. FFMPEG need that the libfdk-aac is "included", as some external PPA did for the 14.04.* version I have always used!
For Bionic 18.04 I'm not able to find the same PPA with libfdk-aac already included in FFMPEG, so I have tried to compile...

I NEED to know HOW to say/set to ubuntu 18.04, that my compiled FFMPEG, installed in /home/lib (INSTEAD of the dir. where the apt-get install ffmpeg would put it???) is the ffmpeg installed with the repos.

I need that Ubuntu recognize my FFMPEG as if I have installed via standard repos!!
So the ffmulticonverter.deb installer will not tell he need ffmpeg!

Using symlink, or move the /home/lib/ffmpeg directory, or whatelse...!!!????

PS: IN /home/linux/bin I have also the "ffmpeg" and "ffprobe " files, setted as (application/x-sharedlib)

You are using Mint. Mint isn't supported here

Please post on the Mint forum as advised

None of the "Ubuntu based" distributions are supported by the Ubuntu community in any way

You are definitely wrong here.

You are using Linux Mint, and packages from some foreign source.

We cannot help.

Can you help with this problem?
