Using altinstall rather than install

Greetings,

I'm working on a PPA with current versions for my cosmic and bionic instances. I'd like to just rebuild this package in my PPA, but I want to use altinstall rather than install so that the PPA installs to python3.7* and doesn't stomp on anything.

I need some guidance for how to reuse this package and change it to use altinstall. Everything else should be fine.
