Where to find a list of packages and versions by Ubuntu release?

Dometimes I want to know if a particular version of software is included in Ubuntu and to know which version of Ubuntu includes it. Where should I look for that information. e.g. what version of Evolution comes with which release of Ubuntu? Which kernel comes with each specific release of Ubuntu?
