How to I provide feedback to Karmic developers about python-qt4?

Asked by Darren Dale

It looks like the karmic developers are making some changes to python-qt4, which is causing some breakage with pyuic4 and eric4. I would like to provide feedback and make sure I am keeping my system configuration up to date with the changes, but I don't know where I would go to get that information or communicate with the developers. Does anyone know?

Well, you could always find the package here in launchpad and report a bug, or confirm those which describe your problems, most of the bugs in ubuntu are squashed that way ;)

I'm actually looking to get a little more involved than that. The last bug report I opened, I ended up identifying the problem and a solution that made its way into debian, yet the fix has not been pulled into ubuntu and I can't get an answer why. I was hoping to find an IRC channel or something where I can actually interact with the developers.

OK, normally the developers meet up on TRC and here is the list of channels ;)

I am sure #kubuntu-devel is the channel you need, the server is irc.freenode.net port 8001, pidgin and Kopete can take you there easily ;)

Hope this helped ;)
