Help, I'm trying to install the Python pstats module but I get the following:

$ lsb_release -a

Have you disabled multiverse in your package sources?

If that is not the case please follow

Thanks Manfred, that was the problem.

Why is this package in multiverse? According to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu it's for non-free software. AFAICT, the profiler is part of the Python standard library and shares the same PSF license. In fact it's surprising that it has even been separated out into a different package from python.
