different release packages for python-gitlab

Hello,

the package 'python-gitlab' / 'python3-gitlab' is made from different sources depending on the release version.
Xenial: pyapi-gitlab
Artful: pyapi-gitlab

Bionic: python-gitlab
Cosmis: python-gitlab
(http://packages.ubuntu.com/python-gitlab)

Wouldn't it be better if the source is everytime the same, or a new package 'pyapi-gitlab' is made from the existing source?

Because this is pretty confusing if you use different os releases in the workflow.
Or am I missing something?
