It doesn't seems to be packages for the Intrepid but upgrading django is an easy task

Sure, installing django is easy. I performed the documented install and it is being used by my system. I just wasn't sure if file layout (install directory) was the same as the package.

However there is an Ubuntu Intrepid package, python-django. There is no 1.0.1 version yet, though. :-)
