Step by step instructions to install HP printer

I have an HP 4050 Laser jet printer wired directly to our network via a JetDirect 600N card. I am a newbie to Ubuntu v6.10 and I would like simple step by step instructions on how to install the printer.

You need to install hplib 0.9.5 or higher for your printer model. Here are the installation instructions: http://hplip.sourceforge.net/install/manual/distros/ubuntu.html

Then Go to System -> Administration -> Printing.
Choose "Add printer".
"Add printer wizard" should start and tell you what to do.
