Problem with linking HEPMC3

Hello
I want to generate a HEPMC3 file through Pythia8 but I cannot link the HEPMC3 library with pythia in no way! I have followed all the instructions step by step but I always get warning messeges like
WARNING: Disabling HEPMC3 - header HepMC3/GenEvent.h missing.
WARNING: Disabling HEPMC3 - library HepMC3 missing.
I you can help me I woulde be greatful
