electron proton collider

Asked by SUBHASISH BEHERA

Dear Author,
I was trying to run a process in electorn-proton collider, which has different beam energy for electron and proton. I am able to generate a LHE file with the help of MadGraph MC generator. Can I use PYTHIA8 for showering/hadronization for such collider ?
Waiting for your reply.

Dear Bernard,
I was trying to ask the following:
I am working on a project where I want to check the processes like : p e- > something. And the beam energies are E_p = 7000 GeV and E_e- = 60 GeV. Its an asymmetric proposed collider study for Large Hadron Electron Collider.

Can I use PYTHIA8 for showering after generating hard process with MG5 ? Please let me know the version of PYTHIA8, if it does.

In addition to my previous question.
Can you provide program files/ any link to convert a pythia6 generated StdHEP file to HEPMC file format ?
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

https://whizard.hepforge.org/manual/manual003.html
https://whizard.hepforge.org/
2.2.10 STDHEP
WHIZARD might serve as a conversion tools for all these formats .
2.2.7 HepMC
WHIZARD is able to read and write files in the HepMC format.
The configure script searches for these headers so these have to be installed mandatorily.
https://whizard.hepforge.org/downloads/ 2.8.5.tar.gz file

I hope that I may have been some help. This is far beyond my aptitude of science knowledge.
For your question on #3 : I am not sure, whizard might.
*_Thank You_*

http://home.thep.lu.se/~torbjorn/pdfdoc/pythia8200.pdf This is a new version program summary perhaps you could look at
it and determine an answer for your question # 3. This is for pythia 8.2.
