Updating to 2.6 release?

Asked by Chris Morgan

Plans to update to the 2.6 release of pyserial? I'm using the port detection here on Windows but since it was only added in pyserial 2.6 I'm having to install pyserial by hand here.

Not sure what you are referring to. I'm asking why the package hasn't been updated to 2.6.

Ah ... well , I'm not the developer , I cannot answer you ... generally speaking , I don't think someone will answer you in here (Launchpad Answers) , you can try to open a bug about that and... good luck .

Developers looks mostly at bugs and not questions.

I thought you asked about on how to install the newer version.

Thanks

You could report a bug, if there are significant reasons to upgrade the version then it will happen. You are also free to compile the package yourself

Can you help with this problem?
