Volume control forgets settings between logins

Asked by Risto Mononen

I listen spotify with USB headset. After reboot I always have to set the output channel and/or unmute the application with pavucontrol. The program / system should remember the settings I used on the last time and reapply them automatically. The system is Lubuntu 12.04.

Try:

killall pulseaudio; rm -r ~/.pulse*

Wait 10 seconds and reboot to then start testing after you log in again

Unfortunately removing .pulse did not help, I had to unmute the headphones again after the reboot.

You could use amixer to set the channel to be unmuted each boot

Can you help with this problem?
