xattr support in "pseudo" enabled?

Asked by Martin Ostertag

I have difficulties to get the application "pseudo" from package pseudo running. I use it to fake a root environment to set extended file attributes (in the security section). From strace it seems as if the corresponding syscalls are not intercepted but are forwarded directly to the file system. As I am not running as root I always get the error "permission denied" (EPERM).

I couldn't it figure out, but I was wondering whether xattr support has been compiled into the pseudo application / pseudo package.

Thanks for your support.

These seem to be the packages "From only information" Please check for all of the 'Depends' of each package, install if needed.
Hardening - Security_The ability to determine Root_from user_login_users ie, Server, Admin. Serve; Login: "Root"
Ubuntu involves security.
I understand the convince of having Superuser an advanced tool for simulating superuser privileges.

Can you help with this problem?
