Psensor doesn't detect my HDD temp

Asked by Juan P. Tamayo

When I use Synaptic to add the Psensor package to my lubuntu 16.04, I can't see after modifying some parameters of this software, the temperature of my HDD.

Why can be this possible?

Thanks a lot for everyone who can help me

Are you sure that your hardware is capable of providing this information (is there a temperature sensor for your hard disk)?

Yes. Of course it have one. The HDD model is a SCSI Disks-ATA ST500DM002-1BD14, as put in the System Profiler and Benchmark application of the 16.04 version of lubuntu I use.

I think the issue I have should have a relationship with changing a parameter on the Psensor configuration. Which one?, I forgot, sorry.

Thanks a lot for your interest

I found a little solving.

When I delete the /home/user/ hidden folder .psensor and I restart lubuntu, it appears again my HDD temp, but after restarting again, it disappears.

How should I solve this problem?

Thanks
