connecting to the internet

Asked by David Jones

I have a DSL connection which works fine with windows xp. I have tried all the help suggestions and also tried the Applications-Accessories_terminal sudo pppoeconf never got a text-based menu program. It did find 3 connections on my pc but wasn't any means of selecting yes/ok.

David, how did you configure your connection under Windows ?
I prefer to configure all coonections using NetworkManager Applet : look on system try, top of the screen, right click the edit connection, if you use ubuntu 9.04 don't forget to make it available to all user.

Hope this help.
