Using version 2.4.9 is available and was released late 2020 / early 2021.

Debian has upgraded its version in "testing" recently. I assume that Ubuntu 21.04 will get version 2.4.9 (or higher)

oops, wrong version, should of course have been

... Ubuntu 21.10 will get version 2.4.9 ...
