Mounted Volume is read-only

Asked by helam

I have /dev/sda7 xfs formatted volume.
When I as regular user try to mount ion GUI Gnome Desktop by click on mouse, it is mounted, but read-only.
I can not write , modify, change anything.
What config file I have to create / edit /remove ?
Thanks.

You can use in a terminal the command:

sudo chmod 755 /dev/sda7

or

sudo chown -R yourusername /dev/sda7

Good luck.

This is not solution for regular user.
I u ndersta nd there is problem with so named "politics" in raw, untested PolicyKit.
I can not find nor administration tools (though PolicyKit WAS created to easy life for sysadmins and protect regular users..?)
nor help, documentation in Karmic, it seems rules defined by developers instead project managers.
I insist what execat I need to create file and content to mount volumes on user's PC as regular user.

Can you help with this problem?
