how do i install this to my laptop without enough memory

my laptop have 4 gb and the software asks for 4.4 i think what do i do

Is this a new laptop or older laptop? Do you have 4GB hard drive or 4GB of ram? If it is a new computer, that is a very small hard drive. 4GB of ram is enough to run Ubuntu. I have three computers, all less than 4GB ram.

4Gb is more RAM than all my systems put together. 4Gb RAM is fine. Lubuntu needs a minimum of 256Mb and a full Ubuntu install recommends 1Gb (this is not the required amount, this is so that it will run well).

Why would you think 4Gb RAM wasn't a lot?

Could you tell what kind of computer you have? Brand and model. Ubuntu 12.04 LTS is 734 MB, so you should not have a problem with 4GB of space.
