My Usplash disappeared after installing grub 2

i've installed a fresh copy of ubuntu 11.4 , i've dual boot with two HDDs
i installed Grub 2 on the right disk , and it detected my win 7 loader and everything worked fine
but when i boot to my ubuntu i couldn't see my Usplash
i checked /etc/default/grub , its all correct
i installed startup-manager and i had missing options no appearance tab
i selected Show boot splash and selected the proper resolution , and still have the problem
any suggestions ???

Try:

sudo apt-get --reinstall install plymouth-theme-ubuntu-logo

Uncomment and set right value to this parameter. Latest Grub2 version looks a little less reliable than previous on resolution. Current version try to use default monitor resolution instead of a default one, and have some rare issues on some configuration. If it fails, please post file /boot/grub/grub.cfg at http://paste.ubuntu.com/
