KUBUNTU 10.10 login screen change

I go to the system setting page that is for changing the login screen theme, choose a new theme, download it and it does not show up in the window that shows the default login graphic. What do I do to see and choose downloaded themes?

That's for gnome, he asked for KDE. http://kde-look.org/ is a website where you can find lots of themes and other stuff. Maybe it works from there.
