Ubuntu, installed Kubuntu-desktop later. Using KDE as default, KDM default, plymouth Kubuntu logo. I have framebuffer=y in /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/splash to delay boot a few seconds to make my splash actually show up. Occasionally this error pops up on me, I restart again and it's fine however. It pops up right after plymouth is finished loading, and I do not see the KDM login screen.
Using..
Ubuntu(KDE) 10.04 amd64
Linux <hostname> 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 28 13:28:05 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Annoying issue... Workaround or fix coming soon..?
