Unable to install robot-player on Ubuntu 16.04

Asked by Frode Lillerud

Hi,
I'm looking to install Player on Ubuntu 16.04.

ref: http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty/robot-player

However I get this error;

frode@xenialxerus:~$ sudo apt-get install robot-player
Reading package lists... Done

Package robot-player is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package 'robot-player' has no installation candidate

I there a way to install it on Ubuntu 16.04?

The package robot-player is not available for Ubuntu 16.04 and later.

From the change log:

(From Debian) RoQA; Maintainer MIA; RC-buggy for more than two years; not in stable or testing; Debian bug https://bugs.debian.org/801898

For problems with compiling that package see also Bug #1240608 and Bug #1246306

Can you help with this problem?
