editing with Pitivi

Asked by drew gilmore

I am editing a long movie that was copied to ubuntu using thoggen and now is a .ogv. I am using Pitivi to edit the movie and I want to cut chunks out of it and then save them as a new, shorter movie. Is this possible? Please advise.

Thank you

You can use the "cut" tool to split the video into chunks. Then you can select the chunk with the select one (mouse pointer), and press "delete" key on the keyboard to delete it. Afterwards, drag the other clips together so there are no lapses and you should be good.
