how to install GStreamer plug in

In PiTiVi i am unable to insert a video it asks for GStreamer plug in how to install it?

If you install ubuntu-restricted-extras package , a bunch of gstreamer's plugins will be installed also.

Try

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras

install gstreamer plugins from software center. search "gstreamer" in the software center and install the necessary components. alternatively just install vlc from software center and it will play all the media files for you.
