VP-D87Di camcorder drivers

Hello the world, does anyone know where I can download the drivers for this old camcorder? It has usb & firewire conexions. But no software & none seems to be around on the Samsung site, or anywhere else I've looked, for that matter. signed (after 2 wks of fruitless search) Desperate Dan the Driverless man.

Normally, your firewire device will get recognized automatically by the Linux kernel. Searching for drivers is a Windows thing, you typically don't need to with Linux.

Just plug it in and see if you can capture with Kino or KDEnlive.
