SOFA support in pipewire

Asked by Michal Kopečný

Hello,

 * Don't use libmysofa in the Ubuntu build for now since the package
    is in universe (Closes: #1035718)

Any chance you could re-enable "sofa" support in pipewire build ?

Feb 24 21:36:33 anita pipewire[20127]: mod.filter-chain: can't load plugin type 'sofa': No such file or directory

For example this will not work in Ubuntu:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/blob/master/src/daemon/filter-chain/spatializer-7.1.conf

Thank you and best regards,
Michal Kopecny

According to https://bugs.debian.org/1035718 this was a decision on purpose (related to the fact that pipewire is in the "main" repository, but libmysofa is in "universe").

I doubt that this will be changed by the Ubuntu developers.

Possible workarounds could be an attempt to manually install the package for Debian (such action is unsupported, no warranty given), or creating your own version with sofa support in a PPA.

Can you help with this problem?
