ROC Modules Support

Asked by berglh

Looking in the latest pipewire build 0.3.58 source code, I can see that the roc-source and roc-sink modules exist in the src/modules dir. I expect to be able to configure the roc module for pipewire using the the ~/.config/pipewire/pipewire.conf.d configuration files as per the pipewire documentation linked in the pipewire section here: https://roc-streaming.org/toolkit/docs/tools/sound_server_modules.html

My understanding is that these modules are now natively supported by pipewire, and it should be a matter of just configuring the modules. However, for some reason this isn't working for me. Is it expected for this to be working? I do have pipewire-pulse configured and the pulse API is being provided by pipewire daemon.

Is it the case these modules aren't being included in libpipewire-0.3-modules for some reason?

The roc module is not built because the roc toolkit is not yet packaged see https://bugs.debian.org/1002630
