Notifications not showing up

In Pidgin, when someone would go online there would be a pop-up in the upper right hand corner. But for some reason, they don't show up anymore. However, the pop-up notification shows when I adjust the volume (using my keyboard) and also appears when I connect to a network. Is there a setting in PIdgin that turns this off? Or a plugin that contradicts with the notifications?

Why are you give me such question. I don't have linux pidgin, and I don't think saw to have that anymore
