yahoo IM wont work

Binary package hint: pidgin

i just got a dell mini and it is this stupid ubuntu and i cant download anything and it has pidgin so i can use yahoo IM but yahoo IM isnt working

I am using ubuntu software and pidgin messenger services. I can only access my aim IM. yahoo will not work

Yahoo changed their protocol. Upgrade to the latest version of pidgin, it'll solve your problem.
