Pidgin aim disconnecting

I use AIM on pidgin for ubuntu 8.04, after being connected for a few minutes it disconnects me and then reconnects me after a few minutes.

i have the following plugins running:
guifications 2.14
musictracker 0.4.1

im also connected to a wireless router, i dont know if that has anything to do with it. upnp is enable on the router and the option in also enabled on pidgin.

please help!

Have you tried messaging programs other than pidgin or online web messenger? do theese have the same problems or not?

yeah i did try other messengers but they just werent doing it for me.
but its okay, i figured it was this router i had. i went and bought a new one
and everything is running smooth!
