Buddy icons on right have disappeared from Pidgin

Im using a portable Asus eee and today for some strange reason all my buddy icons on the right handside have disappeared, the actual images are still in the .purple folder, bizarre! Any ideas/suggestions how to get them to display again? Details boxes have been ticked so the pics should display. Thanks for your help

I seem to have solved the problems by manually linking images in the purple folder to contact names, yay!

This is just a workaround since all newly logged on buddies still don't have am icon... also it's kinda hard to match ... I am filing a bug report about it
