Error connection to MSN on pidgin, error on notification server

Hello ppl!

I'm getting a weird weird error on pidgin.

Since yesterday it does not connect to MSN anymore
And aMSN doesn't either.

BUT if I log on windows, I can log on my account on the original MSN, I also can log on sites like meboo, etc.

aMSN hangs and does not return any error, but pidgin returns " Connection errror on notification server. Unable to connect"

NOTE: Does not seem to be a network issue, as if I log on this SAME MACHINE on Windows XP I can connect on MSN.

I have not changed ANYTHING on my system.

Also at home, my linux box cant connect to pidgin or aMSN but my Windows one can!

Maybe Microsoft is trying to sabotage us... ]:(

If I recall correctly, I noticed Synaptic updating pidgin very recently, so maybe your system did change. A check of installed file dates should at least indicate an update problem or not.

Yes it did got updated but thats not the issue

I'm quite sure it is a M$ issue, as aMSN cant connect as well

Yes, it was a M$ error, as out of nothing, yesterday it was up and running again...
