First of all, what are you trying to do?

About the Live thing, did you try using msn? Perhaps the protocols are the same.

It sounds like you want to add an *MSN* (that being the protocol) account to Pidgin with a username of <email address hidden> (or some other domain as appropriate).

I tried to use the MSN protocol. It does not work. The domain is @live .com. Thanks for the input though.

Thanks,
Brandon

Perhaps you can use another protocol such as GTalk, change the settings(i.e server and anything else necessary) and then use the @live.com domain to use it for Live, though I am not sure if this will work since I never tried it myself.

"It does not work." doesn't help anyone. You're going to need to describe what error(s) you're getting. The protocol here is MSN and you want <email address hidden> in the screenname box. If you're doing that, then it should work. If it doesn't, does it work using the official MSN client on Windows?

Thanks Richard,
I got it to work by putting @live.com behind my screen name. I wasn't doing that before because on the yahoo account it wouldn't work with the domain name in that field.
Thanks again,
Brandon
