pidgin package

pidgin is lunched but not opening

hello everyone

i have problem with my pidgin when i ever open it it start by showing me the tab in the penal then it dissappear and i can see the pidgin icon in the penal and when i ever try to open it , it is not opening and also the battery icon , it seems like it is only the icons there but they r not workining and i've looked at system monitor it shows that pidgin is in the sleep statues .....................Any1 can help me plz

Try running pidgin from the terminal to see what output it has.

thnx for the help bruce but how do i run it through terminal , i'm not that greet using terminal i would appreciate if u could also give me website help me to know how to use the terminal.

open the terminal, type "pidgin" and then take a look to the output on the terminal.

Hi Ari,

I'm one of the new users of ubuntu. i'm very much satisfied with its easy installations, appearance and user friendly interfaces. I'm also having the problem with pidgin. I tried the same in terminal as well. but no go... still pidgin not opening.
please help me.
