how do change the screen name in pidgin?

i cant change my screen name in pidgin.. Please help..

Hello

You have to enter your name in the local alias field in pidgin settings..

Open up pidgin (applications -> Internet -> Pidgin IM)

Go to accounts -> highlight your msn account and click on edit account..

and enter your name in the local alias field to enable pidgin to display your name on screen

Hi, hmm i did that, and it is still not changing... its litterally stuck, but only on Pidgin... on msn live on my other computer it is different....
any suggestions?

so i figured it outt :)

if you still cannot get your name to change:

Accounts
Your e-mail account-there will be a drop down
then click on set friendly name.

when you click on friendly name, your msn name will appear. you can change it from there :)

Listen. There's an easier way. If you go on to accounts, then go down to your account, there will be an arrow pointing to the right hand side. Hover over your account, and there will be an option to "Set Friendly Name".
