Hello Shamim,

Please give us more detail about your problem.
Pidgin is a chat program which lets you log in to accounts on multiple chat networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on MSN, talking to a friend on Google Talk, and sitting in a Yahoo chat room all at the same time.

So, what is the point of your problem?

I see, you want to use Pidgin as Internet Messenger from Yahoo Messenger service. Do you already have yahoo account? If yes, then you should add your yahoo account into Pidgin Program.

Did you run pidgin behind proxy or something? Perhaps there's somekind of firewall which is not allowed for yahoo messenger port passing through, it means your yahoo messenger is blocked.

And check your username and password to yahoo mail through its web site. Just to make sure that your username and password is correct.

I mean, open your browser (e.g Mozilla Firefox) then type:
http://mail.yahoo.com

Enter your username and password. And if you can enter your email with your current username and password, then something wrong with your network. Perhaps like I said before, yahoo messenger is blocked by the firewall on your network.

You can contact to your network administrator, then tell that you can connect to Yahoo Messenger.
Or, if you want to chat from yahoo messenger, try to chat from your mail account. Enter your mail from your browser (e.g Mozilla Firefox) then you can using chat in there. I'm usually using this feature from yahoo.

From my first respon, I have told you
"Pidgin is a chat program which lets you log in to accounts on multiple chat networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on MSN, talking to a friend on Google Talk, and sitting in a Yahoo chat room all at the same time."

So, you're using Pidgin program to chat with your friend on yahoo, am I right?
From your picture that you gave to me, you're using yahoo messenger port like I did too on my computer.
Yahoo Messenger (usually chat program on Windows or you can call it a service program from yahoo) using port 5050 either Pidgin Chat Program. Because Pidgin is chat program, so it is using port 5050 to connect to yahoo chat service program. If this port is blocked by your network administrator, tell him/she to open it.

Can you help with this problem?
