i can't login facebook through pidgin

whenever i try to login from pidgin to facebook it gives me a facebook captcha & asks my birthday,i give my birthday then it asks for allowing a certificate.when i allow it pidgin can't connect.but if i am logged in from a browser it log me out.

bonus:i can't disable facebook account,bcoz whever i try that pidgin crashes.......

This is a known issue with the version of the facebook pidgin plugin in the repository. The latest version of the plugin fixes this. You can either wait until Ubuntu's version gets updated, or grab the latest version from http://code.google.com/p/pidgin-facebookchat/
