MIR for php5-fpm

Asked by Matthew Haughton

Just wondering whether there's ever been a push to have PHP FPM included in main, and if so, what the issues were?

I'm especially interested due to the MIR for nginx (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nginx/+bug/1262710). If nginx does move to main it would make sense to promote PHP FPM as well since it's common to pair it with nginx for PHP deployments.

I'd be happy to raise a MIR myself but am testing the waters here first.

Thanks!

I suggest you post this on the bug to alert people to this fact.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the bug I referenced is for inclusion of nginx in main. PHP FPM is not related to that package or that MIR.

Is there somewhere more appropriate this should be raised instead? Or does anyone else have any answers to my question?

I ended up opening a MIR bug, so I'm closing this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php5/+bug/1267255
