How often will this package be updated?

I'm about to do a fresh installation and I would like to know how often is this planned to be updated. This would help me decide if I use it, or if I do a regular installation.

It is updated if there is a significant reason to upgrade it (large bug fixes, security issues etc). Ubuntu is not a rolling release so packages may be left if there is no real reason to upgrade it.

During the development period of an Ubuntu release an updated version is made available for that new Ubuntu release, but I do not see any indication that the older and already published Ubuntu releases received updates after their publication date.
