rsync script for online recovery

According to the manual on the Project page (http://pgpool.projects.postgresql.org/pgpool-II/doc/pgpool-en.html#online-recovery) there is an rsync-script "pgpool_recovery" for online recovery. But in the Pakage (im using Ubuntu 8.04 Server) there is no such script.
Also there should be some C Language files which must be compiled and installed, but there are no such files.
Can anybody tell me where i can get these files and scripts?
