Asked by Alessandro Menti

Hi, I'm trying to create a pbuilder chroot environment from my KUbuntu 9.10 CD-ROM, but the process fails with the following message:

W: /home/elgaton/.pbuilderrc does not exist
I: Distribution is karmic.

E: debootstrap failed
W: Aborting with an error
I: cleaning the build env
I: removing directory /var/cache/pbuilder/build//7653 and its subdirectories

I have searched for the error message on the Internet and no result produced a definitive solution.
