Accessories under Applications has disappeared in Feisty 64 bit

Asked by Ubuntu Warrior

Used add program to put p7Zip into accessories. Now Accessorries has disappeared entirely taking with it Terminal. Some of the Accessory programs (preinstalled) seem to be under a folder called other.
I have a 64 Bit AMD computer and installed Feisty Fawn 64 bit in a dual boot with windows

Go to "System -> Preferences -> Main Menu", and make sure that accessories under items is checked.

Sorry I should have mentioned this. When I try to edit Menu (right click on Applications) Accessories is not there to check. Also If I check off the other options such as Debian it reverts to unchecked when I close menu. I believe I also went into System Preferences Main Menu with the same results

OK I went to System -> Preferences -> Main Menu as you suggested and Accessories is not listed either under Items or under Menus. As I said before if I check one of the unchecked items (for example Debian) and close it comes back on next open as unchecked and never is visible under Applications.
Also I am not sure if this is related "Filesysems" used to be listed under places and on my desktop and is no longer there, although I can access it from Places-Computer

I removed user profile and added a new one. Accessories are available under new user
