Is there support for 16.04?

Asked by dominikos

Hi there. Yesterday i upgraded my system to Ubuntu Gnome to 16.04 from Ubuntu Gnome 14.04. I' m also using some kde software, installed through "kde-full", like Dolphin.

The problem is that i don't have (after the upgradation) icons on Dolphin, except LibreOffice icons. I assume that the problem is that there is no support on this package (oxygen-gtk3) on this new Ubuntu version cause doing this on terminal:

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-default-settings && sudo apt-get install kde-config-gtk-style && sudo apt-get install gtk3-engines-oxygen

i received the following message(s):

kubuntu-default-settings is already the newest version (1:14.04ubuntu15.1).

Package gtk3-engines-oxygen is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package 'gtk3-engines-oxygen' has no installation candidate

I don't believe it 's a bug but, for a reason, this package can't be founded for this version of Ubuntu.
Do i have to wait to fix it or i must try an other way to install this package?
Thanks a lot,
Th

ps Also you can check this here: http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=gtk3-engines-oxygen
It seems to me that ther is no support for Ubuntu 16.04.

So, is there support for 16.04?
No, there is not. You can read about it in this bug report
https://bugs.debian.org/790768
where you can find a collection of links associated with my question and why the support has stopped.

Secondly, about "no icons on dolphin".. well, this is not the right place for that question but i have to mention that if i type on command line `dolphin`, i don't have icons on dolphins window that pops up, but, if i type `dolphin4` i have. That means for me that my secondary problem is not related with oxygen-gtk3 package.

Thnx for your answer!
