upgrade owncloud-client ?

Asked by Jürgen Weigert

At https://owncloud.com/desktop-app
We currently have as the latest release owncloud-client 4.2.0

With e.g. Ubuntu 23.04 I geta much older owncloud-client 2.11.0 instead.
What is the best progress to trigger an upgrade process? I have not yet located, where the ubuntu build service actually is.

Having both, old and new clients simultaneously in the repositories causes issues in practical life.
The nautilus integration package to choose is either nautilus-owncloud or owncloud-client-nautilus - the internet is full of confusion about this.

In addition you have to take into account, that Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian (to avoid double packaging work), and also Debian has no package with version 4.* available yet.

Can you help with this problem?
