None of the old fixes work on 16.04. I never liked the overlay srollbars and I wish ubuntu would stop thinking Monitor real estate is so hard to come by. I got rid of my 4:3 a long time ago! most people i know have 16:9 aspect any more by alteast 19" wide screen.
Any one have an idea to get the old fashion scrollbars in 16.04 LTS? I like mt steppers and one page at a time sroll.

This has been marked as solved, and yet the question of how to disable overlay scrolling in ubuntu 16.04 has yet to be answered in this forum or any other that I have found. Does anyone know how to disable overlay scrolling in ubuntu 16.04? Keep in mind that everything that worked in previous versions NO LONGER WORK in 16.04. If I sound frustrated, it's because I'm tired of people posting fixes that work for 14.04, but not for 16.04. End of rant.

As the poster, only YOU can mark the issue as solved. Others can only mark the question as "answered" when an answer has been put forward, or "request for information" when a question has been asked to further the issue towards a fix. If you hit the wrong button, that's not our fault, it's yours.

actionparsnip: I didn't mark anything as solved or answered, and I don't know who did. Nor am I interested in snarky exchanges. The point is that the question was about ubuntu 16.04, but the suggested solution was specifically for ubuntu 14.04, and does NOT work for ubuntu 16.04. So the question is NOT solved.
