JAWS for Ubuntu 9.10?

Asked by cheryl holmes

Is there an Ubuntu version of JAWS for blind computer users? If so, would you please tell me where to go to download it for version 9.10. Or is there any really good screen readers available for Ubuntu 9.10?

Thank you very much!
Cheryl

The built-in screen-reader (which I've been told is quite good) for Ubuntu is Orca. It should be in the default 9.10 install, you just need to activate it through System -> Preferences -> Assistive Technologies.

Can you help with this problem?
