Do you use OpenVAS?

If not, then it doesn't matter that Ubuntu doesn't come with the latest version.

OpenVAS is a tool used by security hackers (i.e., network security analysts, professional penetration testers, network administrators and hobbyists testing their networks, and so forth) to scan a machine or network for vulnerabilities and determine if and to what extent those vulnerabilities are exploitable.
