Multiple sshd services defined

Asked by Luke A. Perkins

There are 2 definitions to start sshd 18.04.2 LTS (Bionic), specifically: /etc/init.d/ssh and /lib/systemd/system/sshd.service (linked also from /etc/systemd/system/ssh.service -> /lib/systemd/system/sshd.service. It appears that only the /lib/systemd/system/sshd.service is necessary.

Why have this defined in 2 locations?

Because old hats like myself still use /etc/init.d to stop/start services so it's in both places.

Can you help with this problem?
